Japan Food Part 1 (Tokyo, Aomori, Kanazawa)

Food here has been plentiful, if occasionally hard to order (pantomime, point, broken Japanese). Here's a smattering of samples we've had from our first few days of travel!
Click on the pictures and hover for a brief description of what everything is. This roughly covers our first few days in Tokyo, to our short trip to the northern part of the island to Aomori/Lake Towada, and to Kanazawa, which is where we are right now.
